le U went down 10-0 to open the game, eventually losing to Washington 82-56 Friday night. The Redhawks turned the ball over 30 times in the game. Breanna Salley scored 23 points for Seattle U. Box score.

> Redhawks lose season opener at Boise St.
Seattle U was able to build a double-digit lead in the second half, but the Broncos rallied for a 66-56 win, sending the Redhawks to 0-1. Boise State is the two-time defending WAC champions, and went on an 18-1 run late in the second half to take control of the game. Chelsie Morrison led Seattle U with 19 points, Mountlake Terrace's Tatiana Heck had 12, Mercedes Alexander 11, and Cassidy Murillo 10.

> Redhawks win another in the final minute
Junior Mike Boxley of Mountlake Terrace made a steal and layup in the final minute, then pulled down a key rebound and hit two free throws to seal the win as the Redhawks defeated UC Irvine, 55-52, Tuesday night in Irvine, Calif. Box score.

> Redhawks finish fifth at Great Alaska Shootout
Portland State handled Seattle University 81-67 Saturday night in the Great Alaska Shootout. Chris Gweth led the Redhawks wth 14 points. Gweth was backed by Drew Harris who scored 14 points for the Redhawks (4-3). Former University of Washington player Phil Nelson scored 16 points for Portland State as the Vikings moved to 5-1. It was the Redhawks fourth game in five days. Box score.

> San Diego State hands Redhawks a loss in Alaska
Seattle U fell to 4-2 after a 75-56 loss to San Diego State Friday night at the Great Alaska Shootout. Michael Wright from Lakewood scored 12 points and grabbed six rebounds for Seattle U. The Redhawks will play Portland State tonight at 6:30. The game can be heard on KKNW. Box score.

> Powers leads Redhawks past Northwest Christian
Senior Austen Powers was 10-for-13, scoring 23 points to help Seattle U hike its record to 3-0 with a 76-47 win over Northwest Christian University at Connolly Center. Seattle University begins the Div. I portion of its schedule on Tuesday, when the Redhawks travel to face Fresno State at 7 p.m. Box score.
